'The Road to Recovery and Sustainable Prosperity' is the title of this weekend's Pre-Budget seminar organised by our finance spokesperson Deputy Joan Burton and held in the Westbury Hotel from 10.30am (Saturday, November 14th from 10.30am to 2.30pm).
Following on from the successful 'State of the Nation' event held last February, Joan has lined up a list of impressive and excellent speakers including Paul Sweeney, economic adviser to ICTU, Professor Karl Whelan of UCD, Dr Alan Barrett from the ESRI, Paul Rellis, Managing Director of Microsoft Ireland.
There will be an opening address by the Labour Leader Eamon Gilmore TD and the seminar will be held in two sessions, the first in the morning entitled 'Good Intentions or Real Solutions. What lies ahead on the road to recovery? will be chaired by Roisin Shortall TD. The afternoon seminar 'What will the post NAMA banking world look like? will be chaired by Olivia O'Leary.
The day will then be concluded with a questions and answers session and panel discussion.
Everyone is more than welcome to attend Saturday's event and please do pass on the details of the day to others who may be interested in attending.
