Gilmore continues to press Taoiseach on jobs

Posted on February 09, 2010 at 08:24 PM

Against a backdrop of nearly 1,000 jobs lost since yesterday, the Labour Leader Eamon Gilmore TD questioned the Taoiseach as to what progress has been made on proposals for an International Content Services Centre.

(The International Content Services Centre would become a broker between digital content developers and owners and major content distributors, you can find out more on the Irish Times.)

Pressing the Taoiseach about work on the centre, Eamon said 'we haven't seen much evidence of Government doing anything to follow through on it'.

Eamon continued to question the Taoiseach on a number of points.

  • What level of budgetary support is being provided?
  • When is it going to be established?
  • Where is it going to be located?
  • How many jobs are going to be created?

Eamon's full contribution is available in the accompanying video, while the full exchange will be available on the Oireachtas website.
