Cllr Breeda Moynihan Cronin
Breeda was first elected Labour TD for Kerry South in 1992, having succeeded her late father, Michael Moynihan. She was re-elected at the 1997 general election. In May 2007, she narrowly lost in the General Election.
Whilst representing Kerry in the Dáil, Breeda had been one of the most vocal critics of the Government and spoke in the Dáil on issues such as health, orthodontics, roads, rural transport, education and schools, pensions, crime, carers, social welfare, tourism and many others.
Breeda is extremely interested in health and social policy. She has also been very involved in voicing the concerns of the tourist industry as well as the problems encountered by rural farmers and fishermen. She has a great interest in social welfare and social issues like unemployment and poverty.
