Cllr Brendan Leahy
My name is Brendan Leahy. I am proud to be an elected representative on Skibbereen Town Council and on Cork County Council
I believe that the people of West Cork need a strong Labour voice in County Hall. I believe that I am that voice. I know the problems that ordinary people face and I pledge to do everything in my power to provide effective and efficient representation.
My main priorities on Cork County Council will be:
- Better Roads;
- Better Community Facilities;
- Better Housing provision,
- More Transparency; and
- More Input from Community Groups & Local People.
I live in Skibbereen, where I was born and raised, with my wife and two children. I have worked for the Ambulance Service for the last 10 years. Before this I was employed by Skibbereen Urban Council as a general operative and by Cork County Fire Service as a Fire-fighter/Driver.
I have twice topped the poll in Skibbereen Town Council elections and I have had the great honour to serve as the Town's Mayor on three occasions.
If I can ever be of any assistance to you, please do not hesitate to contact me.
