Chris, a Senior Trade Union Official with S.I.P.T.U.`s Education Sector, lives in Kilcock and is married to Martin with 2 sons. Despite a busy professional life Defending Workers Rights, Chris has always made time to support working people and their families locally. She has worked with and supports the work of Kilcock Community Council in making Kilcock a better place to live for all the residents of the area. An expert in Employment Law Chris has represented a number of local workers in Labour Court Hearings and in various work related disputes.

Chris has been active in national campaigns on Health, Education and Workers Rights and locally she campaigned against the proposed citing of an Incinerator, ensuring that Kilcock developed in a sustainable way, the provision of additional schools, increased rail and bus services and to have the Banogues developed as a multipurpose facility for the benefit of the community of Kilcock and surrounding districts.

A keen supporter of Kilcock G.A.A. Club, she is also involved in ensuring greater participation by women in politics and equal opportunities programmes by campaigning for fairness in the workplace and justice in society.

Chris has been Kilcock Labour Branch Secretary for many years and has worked with Emmet Stagg on various issues. Having stood for Kildare Co. Council in 2004, and polled just under 1,000 First Preference Votes, Chris along with her running mate Rose Devine is determined this time out to gain a seat for Labour in the Clane Electoral Area.
