Update on Proposed HGV Restriction on Newcastle Road

In reply to my Question at Tuesday’s meeting, the Manager advised that following the conditional support of An Garda Siochana for a school times restriction- that the “support of all stakeholders will be necessary”, the matter will be discussed at the next meetings of the Economic Development and Transportation Strategic Policy Committees( which include community and business representatives). As it happens there is a joint meeting of both SPCs next Tuesday, so I hope we can make progresss on getting the agreement of stakeholders.
