Cllr Gerry McLoughlin
Gerry ‘Ginger’ McLoughlin, who won 18 caps for Ireland, played in the famous Munster victory over the All Blacks in 1978, and scored a memorable try in Twickenham during Ireland’s successful Triple Crown campaign in 1982.
Elected to Limerick City Council in the local elections of 2004 as an Independent Councillor, he joined the Labour Party in November 2006.
Gerry has been deeply involved in voluntary and community organisations in the city and works as a special needs teacher at St. Senan’s Boys School in Limerick.
