Welcome from Cllr Noel McCarthy

Hello, my name is Noel McCarthy and I am committed to the continued development of the Fermoy and Mitchelstown communities.

I am only too aware of the issues affecting people in the area area having lived and managed my own business in the locality for the past 17 years.

As father to three children I am also conscious of the issues affecting young people. We need to build better communities to ensure our children have a better future.

At local level, I am active member of the local community serving as both Captain of Fermoy Pitch & Putt Club and joint manager of the Fermoy Junior soccer team.

I will bring new ideas and to the table and offer a fresh perspective when it comes to making important decisions at both Town Council and County Council level.

I pledge to represent you at local level to the best of my ability and will make the following issues my priority


My Priority Issues

Investment in jobs locally

Provision of a Civic Amenity site in the area

To work closely with residents association to plan for the future development of their estates

Representing the views of people when it comes to casting my vote on important decisions that will have a lasting effect on the local community

Better Infrastructure – better roads, new and improved footpaths, better lighting

Tackling anti–social behaviour

Support for new developments that will bring new amenities to the area
Traffic calming measures across new estates
