Having first joined Fingal County Council in 2003, Peggy Hamill was re-elected in 2004 and 2009 and served as Deputy Mayor in 2008.

Peggy Hamill is a community activist of long standing. She was a founder member of the BRACE Centre for Adult Education in Blanchardstown.

Peggy Hamill campaigned successfully for the establishment of Castleknock Community College, being involved in both fundraising efforts and in the Parents’ Group.

Originally from Tipperary, Peggy has lived in Blanchardstown and Luttrelstown for 3 decades, raising a family of 3. She trained as a Nurse, working in several Irish and UK hospitals, including Dublin’s Mater hospital.
